Contexory for OpenClaw

Skills your experts keep current, on your OpenClaw gateway.

Install from ClawHub on the machine that runs the OpenClaw gateway. A background service syncs published skills when the gateway starts and repeats on an interval.

What it reads

  • Published skills, one folder per skill
  • New versions on a background interval, every 5 minutes by default
  • Read tools always; write tools only when you turn management on. Requires OpenClaw 2026.5.24 or newer.

Install

Set the token in the gateway's environment before the restart, then run openclaw contexory status to check the connection.

Where things land

Synced skills
~/.openclaw/skills/contexory, or the skills directory you set in the plugin's settings.
API token
CONTEXORY_API_TOKEN on the gateway host, set by you in its environment or .env.

Not delivered here

  • Instruction files such as AGENTS.md, SOUL.md and TOOLS.md. The plugin mirrors skills only.
  • Skills that are still drafts. Only published skills are mirrored.
  • Uploaded binary files inside a skill. Text files, including text in assets, land.
  • Released tool descriptions and pinned skill text. Only the signed API serves them.
  • A skill whose folder name matches one of your own. It is skipped, and the plugin tells you.
